+ +

Prospective candidates must be from 2nd-9th grade for the SCAT exam and 6th-9th for the STB exam. No other restrictions apply.

Talent Search participants are required to take a designated test. The available tests are the SCAT and the STB. Qualifying on one or both these tests helps ensure that the courses offered at CTY Greece will be the best match for the student. Sample tests are available through the website.

The applications for the SCAT and STB tests are online. Please visit the CTY Greece website under EXAMS and create a MyCTYGreece account.

The enrollment fee stands at 35€ per test.

SCAT: The test contains verbal and quantitative  sections. It’s an above-grade-level test. Levels are based on students’ Grade: elementary (Grades 2-3), intermediate (Grades 4-5) and advanced (Grades 6-9).

STB: It’s a test for students who understand and remember the spatial relationships among objects and prefer visual images and graphic displays over text. Available for students in grades 6-9.

There are no restrictions on taking both tests, other than grade eligibility. Decisions should be based on the participant’s familiarity with the content and their personal preference. The STB is an alternative to the SCAT Advanced Quantitative section and may only be taken once.

No special preparation is needed. For familiarization reasons, there are SCAT and STB samples on the CTY Greece website.
